Role:EnsembleEnsemble Senario is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2012 by a group of young musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in New York City and is known for its innovative programming and dynamic performances. The founding members of Ensemble Senario were violinist Sarah Whitney, violist Jessica Meyer, cellist Michael Katz, and pianist Molly Morkoski. All four musicians had extensive experience performing as soloists and chamber musicians, and they were eager to collaborate with each other to create a new ensemble that would showcase their individual talents and unique musical perspectives. From the beginning, Ensemble Senario was committed to exploring a wide range of musical styles and genres, from classical and contemporary works to jazz and world music. The ensemble's repertoire includes both well-known masterpieces and lesser-known gems, and its members are always on the lookout for new and exciting pieces to add to their repertoire. Over the years, Ensemble Senario has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the United States, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. The ensemble has also been featured on numerous radio and television programs, and has collaborated with a wide range of artists and ensembles from around the world. One of the highlights of Ensemble Senario's career was its performance at the 2014 Chamber Music America Conference, where the ensemble was selected to showcase its unique approach to chamber music. The performance was a huge success, and helped to establish Ensemble Senario as one of the most exciting and innovative ensembles in the United States. In addition to its performances, Ensemble Senario has also been recognized for its outstanding musicianship and innovative programming. The ensemble has received numerous awards and grants, including the Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Program, the Aaron Copland Fund for Music, and the New Music USA Project Grant. Despite its many accomplishments, Ensemble Senario remains committed to its original mission of exploring new and exciting musical possibilities. The ensemble continues to push the boundaries of chamber music, and is always looking for new ways to engage with audiences and share its passion for music with the world.More....
