Bayolo attended the University of Miami, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in composition. He then went on to earn a Master of Music degree in composition from the University of Michigan. During his time at Michigan, Bayolo studied with composers William Bolcom and Leslie Bassett. After completing his studies, Bayolo moved to New York City, where he worked as a freelance composer and musician. He also taught music theory and composition at the City College of New York and the Mannes College of Music. Bayolo's music is known for its eclectic style, blending elements of classical, jazz, and rock music. He has composed works for a variety of ensembles, including orchestras, chamber groups, and solo performers. One of Bayolo's most notable works is his Symphony No. 1, which was commissioned by the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica in 2005.
