Born in Israel in 1975, Fichman began playing the piano at the age of six and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. He went on to study at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. Fichman's early career was marked by a series of impressive performances and awards. In 1995, he won first prize at the Young Artists Competition in Jerusalem, and in 1997 he was awarded the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship. He also won the prestigious Aviv Competition in 1998, which led to his debut performance with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Fichman's talent and dedication to his craft continued to earn him recognition and opportunities to perform on some of the world's most prestigious stages. In 2000, he was invited to perform at the Ravinia Festival in Chicago, and in 2001 he made his debut at the Lincoln Center in New York City. He has also performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Royal Festival Hall in London. In addition to his solo performances, Fichman has collaborated with many other musicians and ensembles. He has performed with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. He has also worked with renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Daniel Barenboim, and Lorin Maazel. Fichman's repertoire is wide-ranging and includes works by many of the great composers of classical music. He has recorded several albums, including a collection of works by Chopin, a recording of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4, and a collection of works by Israeli composers.
