In 1972, he won the Swiss Youth Music Competition and was awarded a scholarship to study in Paris. After completing his studies, Kindle began his career as a composer and pianist. His works were characterized by their use of unconventional harmonies and rhythms, as well as their incorporation of elements from different musical traditions. One of Kindle's most notable works is his Piano Concerto No. 1, which was premiered in 1985. The concerto is a virtuosic piece that showcases Kindle's technical skill as a pianist.
