Michael Kermoyan was born on May 12, 1985, in Los Angeles, California. He was raised in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Kermoyan showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Kermoyan's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed a passion for classical music. Kermoyan's talent was evident from an early age, and he began performing in public at the age of six. Kermoyan's musical education continued throughout his childhood and teenage years. He attended the Colburn School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, where he studied with renowned pianist John Perry. Kermoyan also attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied with Yoheved Kaplinsky. Kermoyan's talent and hard work paid off, and he began to gain recognition as a rising star in the classical music world. He won numerous awards and competitions, including the Los Angeles Young Musicians Foundation Competition, the International Keyboard Odyssiad Competition, and the Juilliard Concerto Competition. Kermoyan's career as a professional musician began in earnest after he graduated from Juilliard. He began performing regularly in concerts and recitals, both in the United States and abroad. Kermoyan's performances were praised for their technical brilliance and emotional depth, and he quickly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting young pianists of his generation. One of Kermoyan's most memorable performances took place in 2010, when he performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The performance was widely praised by critics, who noted Kermoyan's "dazzling technique" and "sensitive interpretation" of the piece. Kermoyan's career continued to flourish in the years that followed.
