Jane Findlay was born on May 12, 1985, in London, England. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Jane showed a keen interest in music and began taking piano lessons at the age of five. As she grew older, Jane's passion for music only intensified, and she began to explore other instruments, including the violin and the cello. She also began to study music theory and composition, and by the time she was a teenager, she had already written several pieces of music. In 2003, Jane was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied piano performance under the tutelage of renowned pianist, John Lill. During her time at the academy, Jane also had the opportunity to work with other notable musicians, including cellist Steven Isserlis and pianist Imogen Cooper. Her performances were praised for their technical precision and emotional depth, and she quickly gained a reputation as one of the most promising young pianists of her generation. Over the next few years, Jane continued to perform in concerts and recitals around the world, and she also began to record her music.
