Kadri Hunt is a renowned classical music artist from Estonia. She was born on August 22, 1985, in Tallinn, Estonia. Kadri grew up in a family of musicians, and her parents were both professional musicians. Her father played the violin, and her mother was a pianist. Kadri's parents recognized her musical talent at a young age and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Kadri started playing the violin when she was only four years old. She began her music education at the Tallinn Music High School, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. Kadri's talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and she quickly became one of the most promising young musicians in Estonia. In 2004, Kadri was accepted into the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she continued her studies under the tutelage of Professor Arvo Leibur. During her time at the academy, Kadri participated in numerous competitions and won several awards. In 2006, she won first prize at the Estonian National Violin Competition, and in 2007, she won the Grand Prix at the Tallinn International Violin Competition. After completing her studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Kadri continued her education at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. There, she studied under the guidance of Professor Päivyt Meller, and she graduated with a Master's degree in Music in 2011. Kadri's talent and hard work have earned her numerous accolades throughout her career. In 2009, she won the Special Prize at the International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition in Helsinki, Finland. In 2010, she won the Special Prize at the International Violin Competition "Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte" in the Czech Republic. In 2011, she won the Special Prize at the International Violin Competition "Andrea Postacchini" in Italy. Kadri has also performed as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. One of the highlights of Kadri's career was her performance at the 2014 Nobel Prize Concert in Stockholm, Sweden. She was invited to perform as a soloist with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Sakari Oramo. The concert was held in honor of the Nobel Prize laureates, and it was broadcast live to millions of viewers around the world. Kadri is also a passionate chamber musician, and she has collaborated with some of the most renowned musicians in the world. She is a member of the Kadri Ensemble, which was founded in 2012. The ensemble consists of Kadri on the violin, pianist Irina Zahharenkova, cellist Leho Karin, and clarinetist Toomas Vavilov. The Kadri Ensemble has performed in numerous festivals and concert series throughout Europe, and they have received critical acclaim for their performances. In addition to her performing career, Kadri is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Sibelius Academy, and the Tallinn Music High School. She is passionate about passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation of musicians. Kadri's playing is characterized by its technical brilliance, musical sensitivity, and emotional depth.
