The duo was formed in 2012 and has since become one of the most sought-after chamber music ensembles in the United States. Andrew Scott was born in 1985 in Toronto, Canada. He began playing the piano at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. He went on to study at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and later at the Juilliard School in New York City. He has won numerous awards and competitions, including the prestigious Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition. Wesley Garrison was born in 1987 in Dallas, Texas. He began playing the cello at the age of six and quickly developed a passion for the instrument. He went on to study at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and later at the New England Conservatory in Boston. He has won numerous awards and competitions, including the prestigious Naumburg International Cello Competition. The two musicians met while studying at the Juilliard School and quickly formed a bond over their shared love of chamber music. They began performing together regularly and soon realized that they had a special chemistry that was rare among chamber music ensembles. The Scott-Garrison Duo made their debut performance in 2012 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
