Born on May 22, 1991, in Vilnius, Lithuania, Vita showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. She quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began studying with renowned Lithuanian pianist Rasa Vitkauskaite. As a young musician, Vita participated in numerous national and international competitions, winning top prizes in many of them. In 2005, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Vilnius, and in 2007, she was awarded first prize at the International Piano Competition in Kaunas. These early successes helped to establish Vita as a rising star in the classical music world. In 2008, Vita was accepted into the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Petras Geniusas. During her time at the academy, Vita continued to excel in competitions, winning first prize at the International Piano Competition in Tallinn, Estonia, in 2010. After completing her studies at the academy, Vita continued to pursue her musical education, studying with renowned pianists such as Boris Berman and Andrzej Jasinski. She also participated in masterclasses with distinguished musicians such as Martha Argerich, Krystian Zimerman, and Murray Perahia. Vita's career as a professional pianist began to take off in 2012, when she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Rome. This victory led to numerous performance opportunities throughout Europe and Asia, including appearances at the Chopin Festival in Warsaw, the International Piano Festival in Beijing, and the International Piano Festival in Moscow. In 2014, Vita released her debut album, "Chopin: 24 Preludes," which received critical acclaim and helped to establish her as a leading interpreter of Chopin's music. The album was praised for its technical precision and emotional depth, and it earned Vita a nomination for the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize. Since the release of her debut album, Vita has continued to perform extensively throughout the world, collaborating with orchestras such as the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, and the Beijing Symphony Orchestra. She has also been a featured soloist at numerous music festivals, including the Vilnius Festival, the Beijing Music Festival, and the International Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdroj, Poland. In addition to her performing career, Vita is also a dedicated educator, serving as a professor of piano at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with the next generation of musicians, and she has mentored many young pianists who have gone on to achieve success in their own careers. Throughout her career, Vita has received numerous awards and honors for her contributions to the world of classical music. In 2016, she was awarded the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize, the highest honor bestowed by the Lithuanian government for achievements in the arts.
