Ilse Graubina was born on May 15, 1985, in Riga, Latvia. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Ilse showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Ilse's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. In 2007, she won the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world. The Van Cliburn International Piano Competition is held every four years and is named after the renowned American pianist Van Cliburn. The competition is open to pianists from all over the world and is considered one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world. Ilse's win at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition was a major milestone in her career. It brought her international recognition and opened up new opportunities for her to perform around the world. Since winning the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Ilse has performed with some of the most renowned orchestras in the world, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
