MDI Ensemble is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2010 by a group of musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in Milan, Italy, and is known for its innovative and dynamic performances of classical music. The founding members of MDI Ensemble were violinist Marco Fornaciari, violist Danilo Rossi, cellist Francesco Dillon, and pianist Andrea Rebaudengo. All four musicians had extensive experience performing in various orchestras and chamber music groups, and they came together with the goal of creating a new ensemble that would showcase their individual talents and unique musical perspectives. From the beginning, MDI Ensemble was committed to exploring the full range of classical music, from the Baroque era to contemporary compositions. The ensemble's repertoire includes works by composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, and Shostakovich, as well as lesser-known composers and contemporary works. One of the highlights of MDI Ensemble's early years was their performance at the 2011 Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Italy. The festival is one of the most prestigious cultural events in Italy, and MDI Ensemble's performance was widely praised for its energy, precision, and musicality. In the years that followed, MDI Ensemble continued to build a reputation as one of the most exciting and innovative classical music ensembles in Italy. The ensemble's performances were characterized by their technical virtuosity, emotional depth, and creative interpretations of classical works. One of the most notable performances by MDI Ensemble was their 2014 concert at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. The concert featured a program of works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Shostakovich, and was widely regarded as one of the most memorable classical music events of the year. In addition to their performances, MDI Ensemble has also been recognized for their recordings. The ensemble's debut album, "MDI Ensemble Plays Schubert," was released in 2012 and received critical acclaim for its sensitive and nuanced interpretations of Schubert's chamber music. MDI Ensemble has also been recognized with several awards and honors. In 2013, the ensemble was awarded the prestigious Premio Abbiati, which is considered one of the highest honors in Italian classical music. The award recognized MDI Ensemble's contributions to the Italian classical music scene and their commitment to promoting the art form to new audiences. Today, MDI Ensemble continues to perform regularly in Italy and around the world. The ensemble's current members include violinist Marco Fornaciari, violist Danilo Rossi, cellist Francesco Dillon, pianist Andrea Rebaudengo, and clarinetist Alessandro Carbonare. MDI Ensemble's commitment to exploring the full range of classical music, from the Baroque era to contemporary compositions, has made them one of the most exciting and innovative classical music ensembles in Italy. With their technical virtuosity, emotional depth, and creative interpretations of classical works, MDI Ensemble is sure to continue to captivate audiences for years to come.More....
