The performance was widely praised for its technical precision and emotional depth, and was later released as a recording on the EMI Classics label. In addition to its performances of classical repertoire, Quartetto Amati has also collaborated with contemporary composers, including Luciano Berio and Salvatore Sciarrino. The ensemble has premiered several works by these composers, including Berio's "Notturno" for string quartet and Sciarrino's "String Quartet No. 7."
