The Sofia String Quartet is a renowned classical music ensemble that has captivated audiences around the world with their exceptional performances. The quartet was founded in 1994 in Sofia, Bulgaria, by four talented musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The founding members of the Sofia String Quartet were violinists Veselina Katsarova and Evgenia-Maria Popova, violist Rumen Cvetkov, and cellist Kalin Ivanov. All four musicians had extensive training in classical music and had already established themselves as accomplished performers in their own right.
