Trombone Unit Hannover is a classical music ensemble that has gained international recognition for its unique sound and innovative approach to music. The group was founded in 2004 by four trombone players who were studying at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media in Germany. The founding members were Jörg Richter, Uwe Füssel, Oliver Siefert, and Stefan Schulz. The ensemble quickly gained attention for its exceptional musicianship and dynamic performances. The group's repertoire includes a wide range of music, from classical to contemporary, and they are known for their ability to blend traditional and modern styles. Trombone Unit Hannover has also commissioned new works from composers such as Jan Koetsier, Stefan Hippe, and Jörg Duda. Trombone Unit Hannover has performed at some of the world's most prestigious music festivals and venues, including the International Trombone Festival, the German Brass Festival, and the Berlin Philharmonic. The group has also collaborated with renowned musicians such as Christian Lindberg, Nils Landgren, and Albrecht Mayer. One of the highlights of Trombone Unit Hannover's career was their performance at the 2012 International Trombone Festival in Paris, where they received a standing ovation from the audience. The group has also won numerous awards, including first prize at the 2006 German Music Competition and the 2008 ARD International Music Competition.
