Edwin E.S. Kim is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on December 12, 1985, in Seoul, South Korea, Kim showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Kim's family moved to the United States when he was eight years old, and he continued his music education in the new country. He attended the Juilliard School's Pre-College Division in New York City, where he studied with Yoheved Kaplinsky. He later earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he studied with Gary Graffman. Kim's talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and he quickly gained recognition for his exceptional skills. He won numerous awards and competitions, including the Philadelphia Orchestra's Greenfield Competition, the New York Piano Competition, and the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition. Kim's performances have been praised for their technical brilliance, emotional depth, and musicality. He has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Cleveland Orchestra, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
