He was born as Vincenzo Stuarti and was the youngest of three children. His father was a tailor, and his mother was a homemaker. Enzo grew up in a musical family, and his father played the mandolin and guitar, while his mother sang in the church choir. Enzo showed an interest in music from a young age and began singing in the church choir when he was just six years old. He also started taking piano lessons and later learned to play the guitar. Enzo's talent for singing was evident from a young age, and he began performing in local talent shows and competitions. In 1938, Enzo moved to the United States with his family and settled in New York City. He continued to pursue his passion for music and began performing in nightclubs and theaters. In 1942, he was drafted into the United States Army and served in World War II. After the war, Enzo returned to New York City and resumed his music career. Enzo's big break came in 1948 when he was discovered by the famous bandleader Xavier Cugat. Cugat was impressed by Enzo's singing and offered him a job as a vocalist in his band. Enzo toured with Cugat's band for several years and gained a reputation as a talented singer. In 1953, Enzo signed a recording contract with RCA Victor and released his first album, "Italian Songs." The album was a huge success and established Enzo as a leading classical music artist. He went on to release several more albums, including "Neapolitan Songs," "Romantic Italian Songs," and "Songs of the Mediterranean." Enzo's performances were known for their emotional depth and powerful vocals. He was particularly renowned for his renditions of Italian and Neapolitan songs, which he sang with great passion and intensity. Enzo's performances were often accompanied by a full orchestra, and he was known for his ability to connect with his audience and create a memorable experience. Enzo's talent was recognized with several awards and honors throughout his career. In 1960, he was awarded the "Golden Record" for his album "Italian Love Songs," which sold over one million copies.
