Carleton Spotts was born on May 12, 1985, in New York City. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his mother being a pianist and his father a cellist. From a young age, Spotts showed a natural talent for music, and he began taking piano lessons at the age of five. As he grew older, Spotts became increasingly interested in classical music, and he began studying with some of the top piano teachers in the country. He attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied with renowned pianist Emanuel Ax. Spotts quickly established himself as a rising star in the classical music world, and he began performing in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world.
