He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a professional pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Nick showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Nick's parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Juilliard School's Pre-College Division when he was just six years old. He studied under renowned pianist Yoheved Kaplinsky and quickly became one of the school's top students. As a teenager, Nick began competing in international piano competitions and quickly made a name for himself in the classical music world. In 2001, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Moscow, Russia, and in 2003, he won the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth, Texas. Nick's success in these competitions led to numerous performance opportunities around the world. He has performed with some of the world's top orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Berlin Philharmonie. In addition to his solo performances, Nick is also an accomplished chamber musician. He has collaborated with some of the world's top musicians, including violinist Joshua Bell and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Nick's talent and hard work have earned him numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In 2005, he was awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians. He has also been named a Steinway Artist, an honor reserved for the world's top pianists. Despite his success, Nick remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to practice for hours each day and is always looking for ways to improve his playing. He is also passionate about teaching and has given masterclasses at some of the world's top music schools, including the Juilliard School and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
