Ann Bobo was born on May 12, 1985, in New York City. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Ann showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As Ann grew older, she became more interested in classical music and began studying under renowned pianist, Maria João Pires. Under Pires' tutelage, Ann's skills as a pianist flourished, and she began to gain recognition for her talent. In 2003, Ann made her debut performance at Carnegie Hall, where she played Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 2, also known as the "Moonlight Sonata." Her performance was met with critical acclaim, and she was praised for her technical skill and emotional depth. Over the years, Ann has performed at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Sydney Opera House. She has also collaborated with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Berlin Philharmonic. In 2010, Ann was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians who have the potential for a major career in music. The grant provided Ann with financial support and helped to further establish her as a rising star in the classical music world. One of Ann's most notable performances was in 2012, when she played Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor with the New York Philharmonic. Her performance was hailed as a triumph, and she received a standing ovation from the audience. In addition to her performances, Ann is also a dedicated teacher and has taught masterclasses at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School and the Royal Academy of Music in London. She is passionate about sharing her love of music with others and helping to inspire the next generation of musicians.
