Born on August 28, 1964, in Jonesboro, Georgia, Miller grew up in a family that valued music. His father was a music teacher, and his mother was a church pianist. Miller's love for music began at a young age, and he started singing in his church choir when he was just five years old. Miller's talent was evident from a young age, and he went on to study music at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Morehouse, Miller was a member of the world-famous Morehouse College Glee Club, where he honed his skills as a vocalist. He also studied under the tutelage of Dr. David Morrow, who helped him develop his vocal technique and musicality. After graduating from Morehouse, Miller went on to pursue a Master's degree in music at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. While at the conservatory, Miller continued to develop his vocal skills and performed in several operas and musicals. He also won several awards, including the prestigious Corbett Opera Scholarship. Miller's career as a professional classical music artist began in 1991 when he joined the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. He quickly rose through the ranks and became the chorus's assistant director in 1995. Miller's talent and dedication to his craft did not go unnoticed, and he was soon invited to perform with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. One of Miller's most significant performances was his rendition of the national anthem at the opening ceremony of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Miller's powerful and moving performance earned him widespread acclaim and cemented his status as one of the world's most talented classical music artists. In addition to his work as a performer, Miller is also a respected music educator. He has taught at several universities, including Morehouse College, Georgia State University, and Kennesaw State University. Miller is also the founder and artistic director of the Atlanta Vocal Project, a nonprofit organization that provides vocal training and performance opportunities to young people in the Atlanta area.
