Role:PerformerTetiana Miyus is a Ukrainian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her virtuosic performances and musical interpretations. Born on August 15, 1985, in Kiev, Ukraine, Tetiana showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents, both professional musicians, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Tetiana's early musical education was at the Lysenko Special Music School in Kiev, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue Valery Kozlov. She quickly distinguished herself as a prodigious talent, winning numerous competitions and awards, including the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Kiev in 1998. In 2003, Tetiana was accepted into the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, where she continued her studies with Kozlov. During her time at the academy, she participated in masterclasses with some of the world's most celebrated pianists, including Martha Argerich, Vladimir Ashkenazy, and Krystian Zimerman. Tetiana's breakthrough came in 2006 when she won the First Prize at the prestigious International Piano Competition in Santander, Spain. Her performance of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Santander Symphony Orchestra was hailed as a triumph, and she was praised for her technical brilliance and emotional depth. Since then, Tetiana has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, collaborating with leading orchestras and conductors. Some of her most notable performances include her debut at the Berlin Philharmonic in 2010, where she played Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle, and her appearance at the BBC Proms in 2014, where she performed Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Tetiana's repertoire is wide-ranging, encompassing works by composers from Bach to Ligeti. She is particularly renowned for her interpretations of the music of Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Prokofiev, and has recorded several critically acclaimed albums of their works. In addition to her performing career, Tetiana is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. She has taught masterclasses at leading music schools and festivals around the world, including the Juilliard School in New York, the Royal Academy of Music in London, and the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. Tetiana's achievements have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2012, she was awarded the Order of Merit, one of Ukraine's highest civilian honors, for her contributions to the arts. She has also been named a Steinway Artist, an honor reserved for the world's most distinguished pianists. Despite her success, Tetiana remains humble and dedicated to her craft. She continues to practice for several hours a day, constantly striving to improve her technique and musicality.
