Lars Björling was born on May 12, 1978, in Stockholm, Sweden. He was born into a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned classical singer and his mother a pianist. From a young age, Lars showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. He was a prodigious talent and quickly progressed to playing more complex pieces. Lars received his formal music education at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he studied under some of the most renowned music teachers in the country. He graduated with honors and went on to pursue a career as a concert pianist. Lars made his debut performance at the age of 18, playing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.
