Norman Fulton was a classical music composer born on May 22, 1927, in Toronto, Canada. He grew up in a musical family, with his father being a violinist and his mother a pianist. Fulton began playing the piano at a young age and showed a natural talent for music. He went on to study at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where he received a diploma in piano performance. After completing his studies, Fulton began his career as a composer. He was heavily influenced by the works of composers such as Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart, and his music reflected their classical style. Fulton's early works were primarily for solo piano, but he later expanded his repertoire to include chamber music, orchestral works, and choral pieces. One of Fulton's most notable works is his Piano Concerto No. 1, which he composed in 1955. The concerto is a three-movement piece that showcases Fulton's skill as a pianist and composer. It has been performed by numerous orchestras around the world and is considered one of his most popular works. Fulton also composed several chamber music pieces, including his String Quartet No. 1, which he wrote in 1962. The quartet is a four-movement piece that features intricate melodies and harmonies.
