Arife Gulsen Tatu is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. She was born on 1st January 1978 in Istanbul, Turkey. From a young age, Tatu showed a keen interest in music and began her musical journey by learning to play the piano. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Tatu's musical education began at the Istanbul State Conservatory, where she studied piano under the guidance of Professor Ferdi Statzer. She later went on to study at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. Tatu continued her education at the same university and earned her Master's degree in Piano Performance. Throughout her education, Tatu participated in various competitions and won several awards. In 1995, she won the first prize in the National Piano Competition organized by the Istanbul Rotary Club. In 1997, she won the first prize in the National Piano Competition organized by the Istanbul Music Festival. In 1998, she won the first prize in the National Piano Competition organized by the Turkish Ministry of Culture. After completing her education, Tatu began her professional career as a pianist. She has performed in numerous concerts and recitals both in Turkey and abroad. Her performances have been highly acclaimed by audiences and critics alike. Tatu has also collaborated with many renowned musicians and orchestras, including the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, the Bursa State Symphony Orchestra, and the Antalya State Symphony Orchestra. She performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, also known as the "Emperor Concerto," with the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra.
