He held this position for ten years and during this time, he performed with some of the world's most renowned conductors, including Lorin Maazel, Mariss Jansons, and Zubin Mehta. In addition to his work with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Formisano has also performed as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also performed at some of the world's most prestigious music festivals, including the Salzburg Festival, the Lucerne Festival, and the BBC Proms.
