It was during this time that he composed his most famous song, "Dark Night," which became an anthem of hope and resilience for the people of Leningrad. After the war, Nikita continued to work as a composer and conductor, and his music became increasingly popular throughout the Soviet Union. He composed music for films, operas, and ballets, and his works were performed by some of the most prestigious orchestras and ensembles in the country.
