Giorgos Karagiannis is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born on 12th May 1985 in Athens, Greece, Giorgos showed an interest in music from a young age. His parents were both music enthusiasts, and they encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Giorgos started his musical journey by learning to play the piano at the age of six. He showed remarkable talent and dedication, and his parents decided to enroll him in a music school. He continued to study music throughout his childhood and teenage years, and he excelled in his studies. In 2003, Giorgos was accepted into the Athens Conservatory, where he studied piano performance under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Dimitris Toufexis. During his time at the conservatory, Giorgos honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. After completing his studies at the Athens Conservatory, Giorgos continued his education at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Christopher Elton. During his time at the Royal Academy of Music, Giorgos gained valuable experience and exposure to the international music scene. Giorgos made his debut performance at the age of 18, and he quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent and skill. He has since performed in numerous concerts and recitals across the world, including in Greece, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and the United States. One of Giorgos's most notable performances was at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2010. He performed as a soloist with the London Symphony Orchestra, playing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. The performance was a huge success, and Giorgos received critical acclaim for his exceptional performance. Giorgos has also won numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In 2007, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Athens. He has also won prizes at the Maria Callas Grand Prix in Athens and the International Piano Competition in Paris. He has taught piano at the Athens Conservatory and the Royal Academy of Music, and he has mentored numerous young musicians throughout his career.
