Amber Chamber Orchestra is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2005 in Los Angeles, California. The ensemble was founded by a group of musicians who shared a passion for chamber music and wanted to create a platform to showcase their talents. The founding members of the ensemble were violinist and artistic director, Madlen Breckbill, cellist, Armen Ksajikian, and pianist, Vatche Mankerian. The ensemble's name, Amber, was chosen to represent the warmth and richness of their music. The ensemble's mission is to bring classical music to a wider audience and to promote the works of contemporary composers. The main members of the ensemble are Madlen Breckbill, who serves as the artistic director and violinist, Armen Ksajikian, who is the cellist, and Vatche Mankerian, who is the pianist. The ensemble also features a rotating cast of guest musicians, including some of the most talented musicians in the world. Since its founding, Amber Chamber Orchestra has performed in some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. The ensemble has also performed at numerous music festivals, including the Ojai Music Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Edinburgh International Festival. One of the highlights of the ensemble's career was their performance at the 2008 Ojai Music Festival. The festival is known for its innovative programming and features some of the most talented musicians in the world. Amber Chamber Orchestra was invited to perform a program of contemporary works, including pieces by John Adams, Steve Reich, and Philip Glass.
