Robert Millett was born on May 12, 1985, in London, England. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a professional pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Millett showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Millett's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with renowned pianist and teacher, Maria João Pires, at the age of six. Millett's talent quickly became apparent, and he began performing in public at the age of eight. Millett's early performances were well-received, and he began to gain recognition as a talented young pianist. He won his first competition at the age of ten, and by the age of twelve, he had performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, including the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. He was invited to perform with the London Symphony Orchestra at the age of fourteen, and he made his debut with the orchestra in a performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. He continued to perform with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the Vienna Philharmonic.
