One of the highlights of Aebi's career was his performance of the Brahms Violin Concerto with the Berlin Philharmonic under the baton of Herbert von Karajan in 1966. The performance was recorded and released on Deutsche Grammophon, and it remains one of the most celebrated recordings of the concerto. Aebi continued to perform and record throughout his career, and he remained an active musician well into his 80s. He was known for his exceptional technique, musicality, and passion for music, and he inspired generations of musicians with his artistry.
