William Rappaport was born on May 12, 1985, in New York City. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a professional pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Rappaport showed a natural talent for music, and he began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As he grew older, Rappaport's passion for music only intensified. He attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied piano performance under the tutelage of renowned pianist Emanuel Ax. During his time at Juilliard, Rappaport won numerous awards and accolades for his performances, including the prestigious Gina Bachauer Piano Competition. After graduating from Juilliard, Rappaport began performing professionally, quickly establishing himself as one of the most talented young pianists in the classical music world.
