Renato Zanettovich was born on May 12, 1952, in Trieste, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a violinist and his mother a pianist. Zanettovich began playing the piano at the age of four and showed exceptional talent from a young age. At the age of 12, Zanettovich won his first piano competition, and by the age of 16, he had already performed in several major concert halls across Europe. He continued his studies at the Conservatory of Trieste, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Guido Agosti. Zanettovich's talent and dedication to his craft led him to win several prestigious awards, including the International Piano Competition in Senigallia, Italy, in 1972, and the International Piano Competition in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1974. These awards helped to launch his career as a professional pianist. Throughout his career, Zanettovich has performed with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with many famous conductors, such as Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, and Zubin Mehta. One of Zanettovich's most notable performances was his debut at the Salzburg Festival in 1978, where he performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21 with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance was met with critical acclaim, and Zanettovich was praised for his technical skill and musical interpretation. Zanettovich has also made several recordings throughout his career, including a complete set of Beethoven's piano sonatas, which was released in 1997.
