Belfast Cathedral Choir is a renowned classical music artist that has been captivating audiences with their beautiful choral performances for over a century. The choir's birth can be traced back to the establishment of St. Anne's Cathedral in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The cathedral's first organist and choirmaster, Dr. William Henry Smethurst, recognized the need for a professional choir to perform at the cathedral's services and events. He began recruiting talented singers from across the city, and in 1904, the Belfast Cathedral Choir was born. Since then, the choir has released several more albums, including "Christmas at St. Anne's" and "Sacred Choral Music." The Belfast Cathedral Choir has also been recognized with numerous awards and honors over the years. In 2004, the choir celebrated its centenary with a special concert at the cathedral, which was attended by dignitaries and music lovers from around the world. In 2014, the choir was awarded the prestigious Diapason d'Or award for their album "Sacred Choral Music."
