Genre:ConcertoKeyboardHomero Francesch is a renowned classical pianist who has captivated audiences around the world with his virtuosic performances and deep musicality. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1960, Francesch showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of six. He quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument, and by the time he was a teenager, he had already won several national competitions. Francesch's musical education continued at the National Conservatory of Music in Montevideo, where he studied with the renowned pianist and pedagogue Eduardo Delgado. Under Delgado's tutelage, Francesch developed a deep understanding of the technical and artistic aspects of piano playing, and he began to develop his own unique style and interpretation of the classical repertoire. In 1981, Francesch moved to Europe to further his musical studies, enrolling at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich, Germany. There, he studied with the legendary pianist and teacher Rosl Schmid, who had herself been a student of the great pianist Artur Schnabel. Under Schmid's guidance, Francesch continued to refine his technique and interpretation, and he began to gain recognition as a rising star in the classical music world. Francesch's breakthrough came in 1986, when he won the prestigious Clara Haskil International Piano Competition in Switzerland. The competition, which is named after the legendary pianist Clara Haskil, is one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world, and winning it is considered a major achievement for any young pianist. Francesch's victory at the competition brought him international acclaim and opened the doors to a successful career as a concert pianist. Since then, Francesch has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the most celebrated conductors of our time, including Claudio Abbado, Daniel Barenboim, and Sir Simon Rattle. Francesch's repertoire is wide-ranging and includes works by many of the great composers of the classical tradition, including Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and Schumann. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the music of Franz Liszt, whose virtuosic and emotionally charged compositions are a perfect match for Francesch's own passionate and expressive playing. In addition to his work as a performer, Francesch is also a dedicated teacher and mentor to young musicians. He has taught at several prestigious music schools, including the Hochschule für Musik in Munich and the Conservatoire de Lausanne in Switzerland, and he has served as a juror for many international piano competitions. Throughout his career, Francesch has received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to the world of classical music. In addition to his victory at the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition, he has been awarded the Prix Guggenheim Jeune Soliste, the Prix de la Fondation de France, and the Prix de l'Académie des Beaux-Arts. He has also been honored with the title of Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government, in recognition of his contributions to the arts. Despite his many achievements, Francesch remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to perform and teach, always striving to deepen his understanding of the music he loves and to share that understanding with others.More....
