Thórhilder Örvarsdóttir is a renowned classical music artist from Iceland. She was born on May 12, 1985, in Reykjavik, Iceland. Thórhilder grew up in a family of musicians, and her parents were both professional musicians. Her father was a pianist, and her mother was a violinist. Thórhilder was exposed to classical music from a very young age, and she showed a keen interest in music from an early age. Thórhilder started playing the violin when she was just four years old. She then went on to pursue a Master of Music degree at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Thórhilder continued to excel in her studies, and she was soon performing in some of the top orchestras in the United States. Thórhilder's career as a professional musician took off when she won the prestigious International Violin Competition in Indianapolis in 2010. The competition is one of the most prestigious violin competitions in the world, and Thórhilder's win was a major achievement. She was praised for her technical skill and musicality, and she was soon in high demand as a soloist and chamber musician. Thórhilder has performed with some of the top orchestras in the world, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra.
