Some of his most notable works include "The Dybbuk Suite," "Sephardic Suite," and "From Darkness to Light." "The Dybbuk Suite" is based on the play "The Dybbuk" by S. Ansky, which tells the story of a young bride possessed by the spirit of her dead lover. Ben-Amots' suite captures the haunting and mystical elements of the play through its use of traditional Jewish melodies and motifs. "Sephardic Suite" is a collection of pieces inspired by the music of the Sephardic Jews, who were expelled from Spain in the 15th century. The suite features a variety of instruments, including the oud, a Middle Eastern stringed instrument, and the clarinet, which is often used in Jewish klezmer music. "From Darkness to Light" is a choral work that tells the story of the Jewish people's journey from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the Promised Land.
