Born in 1987 in Rennes, France, Paugam showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. She quickly demonstrated a natural aptitude for the instrument and began taking lessons with renowned pianists in France. In 2002, she won first prize at the Concours National de Piano de Brest, and in 2004, she was awarded the Prix du Conservatoire de Rennes.
