Michiel Schrey is a Dutch classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a talented pianist and composer. Born on May 12, 1985, in Amsterdam, Michiel showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents, both music lovers, encouraged his passion for music and provided him with the necessary resources to pursue his dream. Michiel's talent was evident from an early age, and he quickly became a prodigy in the Dutch music scene. He began performing in public at the age of eight and won his first competition at the age of ten. His parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Amsterdam Conservatory, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and composer, Jan Wijn. During his time at the conservatory, Michiel honed his skills and developed his unique style of playing. In 2013, he collaborated with Dutch composer and conductor, Reinbert de Leeuw, on a performance of Schubert's Winterreise.
