Laura Fraticelli is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on May 12, 1985, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Laura showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents, who were both music lovers, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion. Laura's musical journey began with her enrollment in the National Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires, where she studied piano under the guidance of renowned pianist and composer, Martha Noguera. During her time at the conservatory, Laura honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. In 2003, Laura was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. She moved to the United States and began her studies under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Yoheved Kaplinsky. At Juilliard, Laura continued to excel and was awarded numerous accolades for her performances. One of Laura's most notable performances was at the 2006 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, where she was a finalist. The competition, which is held every four years, is one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world. Laura's performance was highly praised by the judges and the audience, and she received a standing ovation. In 2007, Laura graduated from Juilliard with a Bachelor of Music degree. She then went on to pursue a Master of Music degree at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Wha Kyung Byun. During her time at the New England Conservatory of Music, Laura continued to perform at various concerts and competitions. In 2009, she won the Boston Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, which gave her the opportunity to perform with the orchestra at Symphony Hall in Boston. In 2010, Laura graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music with a Master of Music degree. She then went on to pursue a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Logan Skelton. During her time at the University of Michigan, Laura continued to perform at various concerts and competitions. In 2012, she won the University of Michigan Concerto Competition, which gave her the opportunity to perform with the university's symphony orchestra. In 2014, Laura graduated from the University of Michigan with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree. She then went on to pursue a career as a concert pianist and has since performed at various concerts and festivals around the world. One of Laura's most notable performances was at the 2016 International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City, where she performed a solo recital. Her performance was highly praised by the audience and the critics, and she received a standing ovation. In addition to her performances, Laura has also been recognized for her contributions to the world of music. In 2017, she was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is given to outstanding young musicians who show exceptional talent and promise for the future.
