He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Albrecht showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Albrecht's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed his skills. By the age of ten, Albrecht had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigy. In 1996, Albrecht was accepted into the prestigious Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Gerhard Oppitz. During his time at the conservatory, Albrecht honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. In 2005, Albrecht graduated from the conservatory with top honors and began his professional career as a concert pianist. He quickly gained recognition for his virtuosic performances and his ability to bring out the emotional depth of the music he played. Albrecht's breakthrough performance came in 2007, when he was invited to perform at the Salzburg Festival. His performance of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 2, also known as the "Moonlight Sonata," was hailed as a masterpiece and earned him a standing ovation from the audience. Following his success at the Salzburg Festival, Albrecht was invited to perform at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He also performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. In 2010, Albrecht released his debut album, which featured works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt. The album was a critical and commercial success, earning him several awards and nominations, including a Grammy nomination for Best Classical Instrumental Solo. Over the years, Albrecht has continued to push the boundaries of classical music, experimenting with new styles and techniques while remaining true to the traditions of the genre. He has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including jazz pianist Herbie Hancock and rock guitarist Steve Vai. In addition to his work as a performer, Albrecht is also a dedicated teacher and mentor.
