Thomas Bidgood was a British composer who lived from 1888 to 1963. He was born in the town of Bournemouth, on the southern coast of England. In the 1930s and 1940s, he wrote music for a number of popular films, including "The Ghost Goes West," "The Saint in London," and "The Saint in New York." His film scores were known for their catchy melodies and lively rhythms, and helped to establish Bidgood as one of the leading composers of his time. Despite his success as a composer and conductor, Bidgood remained a relatively private and reserved individual. He was known for his dedication to his work, and spent many long hours in his studio composing and arranging music.
