Matelda Viola was born on May 12, 1985, in Milan, Italy. She was born into a family of musicians, with her father being a renowned pianist and her mother a violinist. From a young age, Matelda showed a keen interest in music and began playing the viola at the age of six. Matelda's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking lessons with some of the best viola teachers in Italy and quickly developed a reputation as a prodigious talent. By the age of 12, Matelda had already won several local competitions and was invited to perform at prestigious venues across Italy. In 2001, Matelda was accepted into the prestigious Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned violist Roberto Tarenzi. During her time at the conservatory, Matelda honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of the nuances of classical music. After graduating from the conservatory in 2005, Matelda began performing professionally. She quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented violists of her generation, and her performances were praised for their technical precision and emotional depth. In 2007, Matelda was invited to perform at the prestigious Salzburg Festival in Austria. Her performance was a resounding success, and she was praised for her interpretation of Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante.
