Christine Buras is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on December 12, 1985, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Christine showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Christine's musical journey began with her enrollment in the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, where she studied piano under the tutelage of Dr. John Murphy. She later attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. During her time at Juilliard, Christine studied with renowned pianists such as Emanuel Ax, Yoheved Kaplinsky, and Robert McDonald. Christine's talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and she quickly gained recognition for her exceptional skills. In 2003, she won the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra's Young Artists' Concerto Competition, which led to her debut performance with the orchestra. She also won the New Orleans Piano Institute's Concerto Competition in 2004 and performed with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra again in 2005. Christine's career continued to flourish, and she went on to win several other prestigious awards and competitions. In 2006, she won the Juilliard School's Gina Bachauer Piano Competition, which led to her debut performance at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center. She also won the New Orleans International Piano Competition in 2008, which earned her a performance with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Christine's performances have been praised for their technical brilliance and emotional depth.
