Born on October 19, 1976, in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Russia, Moutouzkine showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. He was raised in a family of musicians, with his mother being a pianist and his father a composer. Moutouzkine's talent was quickly recognized, and he began studying at the prestigious St. Petersburg Conservatory at the age of nine. He continued his studies there for ten years, under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Professor Sergei Senkov. During this time, Moutouzkine won several competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Senigallia, Italy, and the International Piano Competition in St. Petersburg. In 1996, Moutouzkine moved to the United States to further his studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. He studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Solomon Mikowsky, and earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. During his time at the Manhattan School of Music, Moutouzkine won several awards, including the prestigious Gina Bachauer Scholarship. Moutouzkine's career as a professional pianist began to take off in the early 2000s. He made his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2003, performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the New York Youth Symphony. The performance was met with critical acclaim, and Moutouzkine was praised for his technical prowess and musical sensitivity. Since then, Moutouzkine has performed at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Moscow Conservatory, and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
