Korey was raised in a family of musicians, and his parents were both professional musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist. Korey's parents recognized his musical talent at an early age and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Korey began his musical training at the age of five, and he started playing the piano. He showed exceptional talent and quickly progressed in his studies. At the age of ten, he made his debut performance at Carnegie Hall, where he played a Mozart piano concerto. This performance was a significant milestone in his career and marked the beginning of his journey as a professional musician. Korey continued his musical education at the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist Rosina Lhevinne. He also studied with other notable pianists, including Adele Marcus and Sascha Gorodnitzki. Korey's dedication and hard work paid off, and he graduated from Juilliard with a Bachelor of Music degree.
