Angèle Trudeau was born on May 12, 1985, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Angèle showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. As a child, Angèle was enrolled in the Suzuki method of music education, which emphasizes learning music by ear and repetition. She quickly excelled in this method and began performing in public at the age of six. By the time she was a teenager, Angèle had already won several local and regional piano competitions. After completing her high school education, Angèle attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied under the renowned pianist and teacher, Yoheved Kaplinsky. During her time at Juilliard, Angèle won several awards and competitions, including the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Following her graduation from Juilliard, Angèle embarked on a successful career as a concert pianist. She has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic. She has also given recitals in major concert halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Berlin Philharmonie. Angèle is known for her virtuosic technique and her ability to bring out the emotional depth of the music she plays. She has a particular affinity for the music of the Romantic era, and her interpretations of works by composers such as Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff have been praised for their sensitivity and nuance. In addition to her performing career, Angèle is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught masterclasses at universities and conservatories around the world, and has mentored many young pianists who have gone on to successful careers of their own. Throughout her career, Angèle has received numerous awards and honors. In 2010, she was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians who show great potential for a major career in music. She has also been awarded the Gilmore Artist Award, the Arthur Rubinstein Prize, and the Queen Elisabeth Competition. Despite her many accomplishments, Angèle remains humble and dedicated to her craft. She continues to practice for several hours a day, and is always seeking to improve her playing and deepen her understanding of the music she loves. Her passion for music is evident in every note she plays, and she is widely regarded as one of the most talented and inspiring pianists of her generation.
