Alberto Dossena was born on May 12, 1985, in Milan, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a singer. From a young age, Dossena showed a natural talent for music and began studying the piano at the age of six. Dossena's early musical education was focused on classical piano, and he quickly became a prodigious talent. He won his first competition at the age of eight and went on to win numerous awards and accolades throughout his teenage years. In 2001, he was awarded the prestigious "Premio Crescendo" for young musicians, which recognized his exceptional talent and potential. After completing his studies at the Conservatory of Milan, Dossena continued his education at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, Germany. There, he studied under the renowned pianist and pedagogue Gerhard Oppitz, who helped to shape Dossena's musical style and technique. Dossena's career as a concert pianist began in earnest in 2007, when he won the International Piano Competition in San Marino. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff, and has been praised for his ability to bring out the emotional depth and complexity of these composers' music. In addition to his career as a concert pianist, Dossena is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught masterclasses at numerous institutions around the world, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London. He is also a frequent guest lecturer at universities and conservatories, where he shares his insights and experiences with aspiring young musicians. Throughout his career, Dossena has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to the world of classical music. In 2012, he was awarded the "Premio Abbiati" by the Italian National Association of Music Critics, which recognized him as one of the most promising young musicians of his generation. He has also been awarded the "Prix du Piano" by the Fondation Cziffra in France and the "Prix de la Fondation de France" for his contributions to the arts.
