Carlo Tessarini was an Italian composer and violinist who lived during the Baroque period. He was born in Rimini, Italy in 1690 and began his musical studies at a young age. His father, Giovanni Battista Tessarini, was a violinist and composer, and it was under his tutelage that Carlo learned to play the violin. Carlo Tessarini's musical talent was evident from a young age, and he quickly became known as a skilled violinist. He began performing in public at the age of 14 and soon gained a reputation as one of the most talented young musicians in Italy. In 1710, Tessarini moved to Venice, where he continued to perform and study music. He became a member of the prestigious Accademia Filarmonica di Venezia, a society of musicians and composers who were dedicated to the promotion of music in Venice. Tessarini's career as a composer began in earnest in the early 1720s. He wrote a number of works for the violin, including sonatas and concertos, which were well-received by audiences and critics alike. His music was characterized by its virtuosity and technical difficulty, which made it popular with skilled violinists. One of Tessarini's most famous works is his Violin Concerto in D major, which was composed in the early 1720s.
