He received his formal music education at the Turin Conservatory, where he studied under the guidance of Carlo Vidusso. In 1928, Semprini made his debut as a concert pianist in Milan, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. The program was immensely popular and made Semprini a household name in the UK. Semprini's popularity continued to grow, and he became a regular performer on television as well. In addition to his performing career, Semprini was also a prolific composer and arranger.
