University of Iowa Kantorei is a renowned classical music artist that has been captivating audiences with their exceptional performances for many years. The group was founded in 1981 by Dr. Timothy Stalter, who served as the director of choral activities at the University of Iowa for over 30 years. The group is made up of approximately 60 undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Iowa, all of whom are selected through a rigorous audition process. They have also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors and composers in the classical music world, including John Rutter, Morten Lauridsen, and Eric Whitacre.
